It's the mindset
« on: March 29, 2012, 04:26:58 PM »

I remember someone telling me about this years ago and the guy said its all about believing that you can go in and win something. I know many bad betters who walk into a place with a foul mood, I try to do the opposite just to be on the safe side.

Yes, that's an excellent thing to do, sort of like the Law Of Attraction. I swear I think there is something to that! It's as if you are going to get whatever you think, and the bad energy attaches itself to you, and everything around you.

People have confirmation bias.  If they walk in to a place expecting to lose, they will say that they expected it at the end of the night no matter what the outcome is.  If they actually win, they'll say it would have been more if they weren't having a bad day.  I'm with you guys and would rather be in a good mood than a bad, but some people seem to be stuck with a dark cloud over their head.

Have you ever had the feeling you were going to win something, and you did? This has happened to me a few times. Now, that is weird. I just wish I would get premonitions more often!

I wonder if too many people over think the game, no matter what type of game they are playing. You can be at home on a computer or in a casino but its the mindset that I know at least gets a few people I have been out with. Negative thoughts bring negative actions, those actions could be how they are playing at the time.
